    Fishman electronics kaput?

Not mine but my bro’s guitar. Won’t work. Even with new battery. Also, when I try to re-insert the battery loaded module into the casing on the guitar it won’t totally click in all the way, but I can’t see anything blocking. Like cheap plastic parts that don’t quite fit together.

    Converting my Starfire to fretless

Hopefully gonna do it on my 2013 NS Starfire (you can stop clutching at your heart now) in the spring when it’s warmer and I can sand outside without risk of shocking the wood and finish from cold temps. Still torn about putty fret line filler vs. wood veneers, but leaning toward maple veneers...

Rectangle regular case for Starfire bass??????

Any such thing? Can’t fit all my stuff into the Corona Guild Starfire case. I have an over the shoulder bag for the extras for now though. A rectangle case would offer more storage. Thanks!!

    Yamaha BB400 bass ...very nice!!

Well I know some are wondering about what that means for Guild instruments since Yamaha has done they merge or whatever. But today I was doing maintenance on my son-in-law's (~1980???) Yamaha BB400 bass and I have to say I think it is a fantastic bass and I cannot see any inferiority to a...

Would you buy this neck or not if you needed one?

Allegedly Canadian maple and rosewood. Looks very well made but just don't know since there is no free return shipping and I don't know the seller. Does this look like a quality part to y'all in the know? Thanks for your input. At $229, next step up would be a $800 Lowe conversion neck but not...

What are old Marshall bass amp head treble/mid/low frequencies tuned to?

Like when you see Treble/bass/middle/presence. What frequesncies is each tuned to? 50 /500/ 2.5/ 5k? Just wondering. If you want specifics, I'd say a bass head around 1971. Only asking here because you guys seem to know a lot about basses, and I cannot find any info like this anywhere online or...

Historic music scene hot pockets in the USA question.

For those who were there...or the history buffs out there... There are plenty of musicians in every part of the USA. Why do there seem to be hot pockets that produce the most successfully marketed music? Is it the musicians, or just the fact that, for whatever reason, promoters and industry are...

Anyone using a wireless system for guitar or bass (non-tabletop transmitter/receiver versions, just the 2 plugs ins for guitar and amp)?

Got any recommendations? Just the little plug ins you plug one into the bass and one into the amp. No desktop module needed. Like this: https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/WL20L--boss-wl-20l-guitar-wireless-system The Boss one sounds good but they say it rolls off some high ends to simulate...

Tour de France sportscaster terminology is interesting...fun with words

I was gonna present this as a veer in the recent Miscellaneous forum TdeF thread someone posted but thought my veer was too veeracious. So I started a thread. I find the verbiage they use interesting. Post your favorite or most disagreeable terms here. 1. Abandons - As in "Mark Cavendish...
