if this is true, why does a D4 cost less than a D25? just because of the high glossy finish?

well, let me say it this way. here are many musicians that would never touch a D4 because here they are lower end guitars, because of their laminated backs and their "plain-jane" look. this guitars do not sound like a Martin guitar and so the most people here are not willing to spend that much...
