    F-30 body dimensions...

Thanks, bro! It's needing a little love and care, but I'm paying off that freekin' 018. I leave it open tuned to impress guests with a little Pink Floyd diddy. Learned it here...

    F-30 body dimensions...

Hans would know more about spec variations that may have been occurring during this build period. Unlike most F30s of this era, this one has a slightly wider fingerboard, which permitted me to fit a wider nut with a more comfortable spacing. Others have claimed they had no room at all for this...

    F-30 body dimensions...

4" next to the endpin, 3 1/4" up next to the heel. A deeper bod woulda' been nice.

Truss rod question for a guitar that's had a neck reset

$1850? Sounds like they're making up for the work that went into it. That's different from having a vintage restoration in play. My music shop does consignment, but still has the credentialed repair/restore guy.

Truss rod question for a guitar that's had a neck reset

I found it odd and unacceptable that the seller couldn't verify a functioning truss rod, especially in light of the neck reset. I'm re-reading your original post, and, for one thing, that period Guild bridge is a beautifully simple shape, that unless copied perfectly from Braz RW, I wouldn't be...

Truss rod question for a guitar that's had a neck reset

Well, J, if true, and you have a good one nearby, it should ease your mind about keeping up with it's 'idiosyncrasies'. If it feels good in hand, and you love the tone, that would be about 90% of it for me. They are a bit delicate, lightly built, for sure, and you would have to be more...

Truss rod question for a guitar that's had a neck reset

Both of the truss rods functioned on my '59 and '64. Generally, when you find the correct socket to fit (get a nice set somewhere, good for many things), you should meet good resistance when turning clockwise, which will straighten you neck, and less, but not floppy resistance when relaxing it...

    Case Question for a 1960s M-20

Good luck. I owned a couple early M20s and loved them, but those freekin' narrow nuts caused traffic jams with my square-ish fingers.

    Case Question for a 1960s M-20

I could be wrong (again), but shouldn't Guild's current M-20 case be just right, if they'll sell you one? Go to their site, give them a call, and check the dimensions. https://guildguitars.com/g/m-20-in-vintage-sunburst/

    Old Guild bridge question.

Yes they were. I think the 'horns' on the bottom edge came around '69 - '70's. That one looks right. Wish I could buy. There are folks who make pretty good copies.

    Problem on Guild M-40e

It very well could be part of the bellying issue. Resetting a bridge is the least of your worries.

    Problem on Guild M-40e

If a guitar that has unknown structural issues, I suggest you have it looked at soon by a pro, in case you have something dire to report to your seller.

Glad to hear it's a neck comfort issue. I was going to recommend seeing your audiologist. Mea culpa, boys.

    Another new (to me) Guild!

Great opportunity for her to grab on to the enthusiasm of the moment. Way to go, TB. Wishing her continued interest. I squandered a similar opportunity as a 15 yr old. It's all 'catch up' now for me.
