I really wish this could be a more clear part of these conversations. For years there has been criticism pinned on "Import Guitars", when the real target ought to be "Companies that ask manufacturers for inexpensive products" and "Consumers that expect quality things for cheap prices".

I had heard of her enough to be curious when I found her "Gather Me" record in the stack at a family friend's during a group dinner. I put it on and had repeated "Holy Crap!" moments. I skipped dinner and they found me quite rude. What an amazing album!!

I have the Ampeg BA-110 and wish I had gotten the 108. The 110 is to much for my living room use.

For what it's worth, I've seen this lovely burst on instruments from '75-'79. My '75 D40 is one. My fuzzy memory from others that have posted price lists from that era is that the burst finish was an additional cost, but available on any acoustic. I have no idea how often they would produce...
