NGD 72 D40 Sunburst factory electric

Wow that thing is sweet. '72 conjures up memories of the Eagles debut album . . . Take it Easy, Peaceful Easy Feeling . . . I'm sure those would sound nice on that D40!

    Just bought a 12-string Guild

That's an absolute steal if there's no structural damage or major repair needed. Reminds me of Tom Petty's D212M! Congrats!

I wonder how much this D-25 will go for

Mark Olson of the Minneapolis band The Jayhawks played a mid 70's D-25M just like this one. To your point, if I saw one that was played and signed by Olson, I'd probably pay well above market for it (me being a big Jayhawks fan).

    NGD 1960 F50

It is interesting how close the color and aging of the finish is to your '63 Thunderbird. If it is a refinish, maybe it was done at the factory. Cool piece of Guild history!

    NGD 1960 F50

Wow I have to say that looks better than I was expecting after looking at the seller's pics. I'm guessing you cleaned it up a bit and administered some TLC. Were you able to confirm whether that's an original pickguard (might need to hear from Hans on that)?

    Guild F50R ???

Congrats on the F-50R! Be sure to post back and let us know what you think of it.

    Guild F50R ???

I think it depends on what you're after. F-50R's are revered and special, but they're not for everyone. The sheer size of these jumbos (not to mention the weight of an early 80's Westerly build) can be uncomfortable for some people. Soundwise, it'll probably be loud and have a lot of...

Rod Argent of The Zombies has had a stroke

Saw the Zombies perform last year and it was a great time! Argent and Blumstone are the two original members and I was blown away how good they sounded at their age. Not just performing their old stuff but some new material too. I hope Rod is able to recover but even if this means he retires...

I need to buy some acoustic shipping boxes.

Another option is Fedex. Their guitar boxes measure 50" x 20" x 8" and are really sturdy. If you have a Fedex store nearby, you can call and see if they have any in stock. Some locations have them, some don't.

    '71 F-50 on Norms

It must have sold quickly - I don't see it listed on their website any longer. I wonder how much it went for . . .

    Let's not talk about farethewells....

Thanks for posting. You can tell her voice has started to deepen a bit by this time in '83. I think she performs "A Case of You" (also from Blue) in this performance. Goes without saying, she's amazing. I've been diving back into her early catalogue recently.

Christopher Cross interview with by Rick Beato

Wow, that was really cool. I would never have guessed what a gear head he is. I didn't expect to watch the whole thing but I couldn't turn it off! Thanks for posting.

    Ended My DV-62 Sale

Do you recall which particular set that you ordered for your DV-62? Was it the Heritage series or Master Class series?

    Custom F-412 BL (SRV Unplugged)

It would be great to see Mayer and Bonamassa stage a 12 string blues face off to see who gets the guitar. No offense to collectors, but this one needs to go to an artist who will be inspired by it and create.
