Thanks for asking. Correct. $500 to anyone on LTG who'd like the guitar and I'll pay to get it shipped to you.

    FS G 312 NT, 1981

This 1981 Guild G 312 NT (serial Number DJ 100184) belongs to a friend. It's been sitting in it's case for several decades. I'll try and describe what I see are some issues. 1. The neck should probably be re-set. It plays well and the action is ok but as you can see in the pics, a straight...

    F 212 case

I need to replace the hard case for my '69 F212. I'm considering a hybrid gator case, gl-jumbo. I'm pretty sure the guitar will fit. Can anybody confirm. Or, suggest a better option.

    Fret Polishing options?

Another one late to the party. I've been using these for a few months. Very pleased. https://www.stewmac.com/luthier-tools-and-supplies/tools-by-job/tools-for-fretting/fret-erasers.html

Bob Dylan birthday guitar - handmade 12-string

I knew Charlie but was not aware he'd passed away recently. Charlie lived just north of me in Safety Harbor, Florida. He worked out of his house which was just packed pull of old guitars, fiddles, mandolins, banjos and all kinds of other noise makers and instruments. His living room was sort...

    Recording Equipment Question

I have a small home studio. I've done two full length CD's and one EP of my music. I've recorded 6-7 CD projects for other musicians with two more in the works now. I'm a big fan of Reaper. It's very robust, in my mind the best bang for the $$ in the world of DAW's. The plugins that come...

    F 512 Maple (Should I buy it?)

FWIW I have owned a F-512, a F-2512, a F-212 and a Martin D12-20. The only one still in my possession is the F-212. I also have played a friends D12-20. That guitar stand out as one of the best 12 strings I've ever played. Some times a guitar just has that special something and that D12-20...

What a beautiful guitar and masterful work by Tom. He did a neck reset and other work on my 1969 F-212. Terrific luthier. Thanks for the pics.

    Guild D60 Rosewood

I used to own a Rosewood D60. Spectacular example of a spruce/rosewood dread. It had that classic dread rumble, lots of presence and a bright crisp top end. Just a great guitar. Like many Guilds of that era it was a heavyweight. As I've gotten older (67 now) I've found dreads and jumbo's...

    Gibson plastic bridge

In the thread re: Gibson Country and Western the subject of the plastic, adjustable bridges came up. By coincidence I'm in the midst of replacing a plastic bridge on a friends 1963/64 Gibson B25. I thought the gang might be interested in seeing some of the issues involved in putting things...

    1956 Gibson Country Western

I think Grassdog is spot on. $3,500 - $4k given the replacement bridge. Usual caveats; neck angle, overall condition, original case, etc..

    Original tune and video

A good friend and local musician wrote this. Plays all the instruments and sings lead and harmony vocals. Thought some of the LTG gang might be intereste.

    Heritage suing Gibson

Very true re: ss#'s and factory changes. But even with all those changes Guild management has, with few exceptions, focused on building good guitars. Musicians and experienced guitar folks had key roles in the company. So they kept the core values of the company on point. Gibson during the...

    Harmony Sovereign

Not directly But from threads in other guitar forums my guess is Baxendale is much higher.

    Harmony Sovereign

I concur. I've played a few, definitely not skinny. The Sovereign I have is 1 3/4", maybe a hair more, at the nut. And the profile is, if anything a bit chunky. I really like it. But my preference over the last few years has moved to smaller body, thicker, wider necks.
