    Learning to Love my F50

So I picked up this Tacoma F50 a while back. It's been somewhat abused but not in any sonically problematic way. Got it at a pretty good price and I have gigged it a few times, but just never bonded with it. Yesterday while reading some non music / non guitar material I realized that "bonding"...

What acoustic are you playing today?

I'm in Tampa and I don't give humidity a thought. I probably should monitor it, but that's me. My worries are putting a guitar in the car on hot dats to go to gigs and sun and sweat when playing outside (which is most of our gigs). Anyhow I do feel blessed to not live in chapped lip country.

    My D 1212E

My D2612CE is a great sounding stage guitar. If I only had that acoustic I would be happy with it. Thankfully I have the good fortune to have a few to choose from and the luxury of being able to leave it where my band practices and play my F112 or G312 at home.

    Still Awed By The F-112

That's great Shawn. I know what you mean I took my F112 to an open mic last night and it was a hit in spite of my playing. There's no substitute for old wood.

    NGD! 1968 F-112

I'd try Ernie Ball Earthwood lights or D'Addario EJ41s. They work great and are very playable when tuned to concert pitch.

In the Market for an Affordable Vintage Guild (D-15 or 25). What to look out for?

Considering the case and condition, the D15 is (IMO) a better deal. I understand the attraction of the cutaway, though.

    D4 HG Unicorn?

Not a unicorn, but fairly uncommon. I think the HG was something like a $100 upgrade and if you were looking for a low cost Guild you were probably tossing nickels around like they were manhole covers.:ROFLMAO:
