    "Little Sun" has gone nova.

Those of us who go back a ways may have been influenced by Koerner, Ray,and Glover. I was. I believe "Spider" John Koerner is still with us but we lost 12 string pioneer Dave "Snaker" Ray a few years back and Tony "Little Sun" Glover, mouth harp wizard, just passed away. RIP

    Gonna try some of these...

RETIRED HUSBAND After I retired, my wife insisted that I accompany her on her trips to Target. Unfortunately, like most men; I found shopping boring and preferred to get in and get out. Equally unfortunate, my wife is like most women - she loves to browse. Yesterday my dear wife received the...

    Ten years!

Today is my 10th anniversary with LTG! Thanks to all for a great 10 years! Some of my Forum friends are gone but not forgotten, others are still here, and many new ones have joined in. Been more of a lurker of late, hearing loss, arthritis, yada yada, blah blah blah... Still playing, though...

Oscar Brand has left the building.

He held the world record for hosting the longest-running weekly radio show with the same host, 70 years. At 96 he was one of the last with direct connections to the likes of Lead Belly and Woody Guthrie. RIP.

So I'm wondering if nobody noticed or if anyone did notice and was just being too nice to say anything? This is my 1978 G-312. Have another look...

    A little more F-512 stuff

My 512 has a maple neck, evidently a bit of a rarity. Many (most?) have a rosewood bridge but mine has ebony. I don't know if that's rare or not. 1990 F-512 with ebony bridge and compensated bone saddle: Detail of silky and tight-grained top: Happy 12ing! ' Strang

    Guild 12 string necks

To sum up some things from a recent thread, early F-512s had a padouk neck with maple center strip, later changing to mahogany and maple. 1990-92 saw some rosewood 12ers with a maple neck and mahogany center, like those found on older F-412s and JF-65 12s. My 1990 F-512 is one of these. In the...

    RIP Bozo Podunavac

I have seen reports of Bozo's death. Another giant. I played a rosewood dread 12er of his many years ago. Huge sound and very playable.
