They did one or possibly more for Jack Casady that he played for a while.Just wondering if they ever did their version of a Flying V. Thanks!
That flying v jetstar bass circiutry and/or its bisonics may have been hot rodded by Wickersham or Alembic. Somone posted a while ago that there is a photo where it looks like the cable is a 5-pin like for an Alembic. To me, i'm not sure, but it sounds like something is active or hot rodded, on the bass, or possibly his amp. But who knows with Jack.
decide for yourself:
Nothing like the Guild, you know it was a solid body instrument a whole different sound. There was no custom electronics or anything, stock electronics. The only thing I did as I did in the other basses, I would increase the Alnico magnets in the pickups.
"I would increase the Alnico magnets in the pickups," to me qualifies as a hot rodding.
It definitely sounds like a signal boost. If he says he did the same in his other Guilds, that makes sense, those sound similar, but those also have extensive electronic mods.
