Hi, I'm looking for a pickguard for my right handed 66 starfire ii/iii. Was missing it when I bought the guitar. Anything out there?
Thanks!

Welcome, @jays2, and congrats on the vintage Starfire! I recently had the same problem. Until I find a vintage pickguard, I will use a new Guild pickguard made for the Newark St. Starfire III, which is based on the dimensions of the 1960s Starfire II/III. I haven't installed the new pickguard yet, but I compared it to a vintage pickguard and they look like a perfect match.

Thanks! I was thrown by the disclaimer about pre 2014 models...

Thanks! I was thrown by the disclaimer about pre 2014 models...

That is because parts from 2014 and later do not always fit older guitars. The two reasons I recall are metric vs. imperial sizing and different locations for mounting holes. The global disclaimer absolves Guild of any responsibility to test or otherwise research what may fit anyway.

The ideal solution would be to wait for @DeArmond Hammer to report success. A reasonable solution would be to get one now and collaborate with @DeArmond Hammer so that you both learn similar lessons and can share.

I was uncertain about the Guild new pick guards fitting. I ordered one from pick guard planet. Once i gave them the measurements, they sent it out. They are easy to work with, cost about 35 bucks, doesnt have a logo, but i wasn’t about to pay the price of a used pickguard at the moment. It is on the 98 Starfire seen below with a harp tail piece as well as the Guildsby.
