Where Is The Comma In "God Rest Ye Merry, Gentlemen" Supposed To Go?

I would put a comma after Ye and Merry because you could omit the word Merry and title still makes good sense.

After "merry." It is an adjective modifying "gentlemen." "Gentlemen" is an appostive of "ye." The expanded sense of it is: "God rest ye, (who are) merry gentlemen."

I say no comma at all. None. When in doubt, leave it out. No comma.
