Great movie! With one memorable line after another.

"Ain't this place a geographical oddity . . . two weeks from everywhere!"

"Is you is, or is you ain't, mah constituents?!?"

No Fop for me, I'm a Dapper Dan man ;]

I'm not sure many movie have had as much effect on me as this one did. Truly a gem start to finish, I'd like to rewatch it.

John Goodman is amazing, as always.

This must have been Coen Bros?

John Turturo is just over the top, lolollol.

Delmar might have been my favorite tho... And Holly Hunter, I haven't been able to stop thinking about her since Raising Arizona ;]

"Hi, You go in there and get me that baby!"

Damn they made good movies back then.

I love the sound of that guitar which is being played here ; deep, a bit rough and powerful...Looks like a Gibson LG-2 I believe - or smth. close...
Good song too.

kind of hard to decide which actor did a better job in this movie.
Clooney was fantastic and I still think his best role/job ever...
Nelson sometimes I think out-acted them all.
Goodman was eery good.
and the Turturo guy who is just a classic brilliant supporting actor....was equally as great.

hard to choose.

Well Chris Thomas King is actually playing the guitar in some places in the film. He is one of the featured musicians in the documentary and concert they did after the movie called "Down From The Mountain." I have the DVD.
