Reminds of the song that sings Oops I did it again ? Or I’m I just mixing it up with another song ? Lol
ok so yeah I bought another guitar . I proclaimed myself as King of Cheap ! So you will always know if it’s cheap and has to do with acoustics and recording I’m the guy checking it out !
Well I mean only if I’m in need of it err .... want it is more like it .
Anywho .... You know how it goes you see it in a ad or something and it fits in with the normal guitar models your interested in and the price is good some how it just locks into your memory banks .
If you don’t buy it on the spot you will shortly because you can’t stop seeing or researching it . You wake up and the first think that pops up in your head is that guitar so back to surfing you go.
OK what is it ? well ....... I’ll tell ya this time .
It’s the Recording King RO-328 . Why did I get it ? I just want to hear it see how it plays and sounds .
I couldn’t resist it has a aged Adirondack Top ! From their special reserve . Now I’m not sure what that means and I’m not up on Recording Kings history but I’m not aware of them using Adirondack or anything else that claimed special reserve .
So anyway it’s all solid wood Rosewood back and sides . Same for the fingerboard and bridge.
They say it’s designed off the Martin triple OOO but with a few differences.
Scale is 29 and something vrs Martins scale length, a bit different bracing and the rosewood bridge and fingerboard as the Martin has ebony oh the top on the Martin is Sitka vrs the Adirondack on the RK .
I bought from Elderly it was the only one they had . Per my norm I told them go over it well because I’m one picky sob . The top was concern because the stock photos they get or use are not of the actual guitar just the factory generic pics .
The thing is all the pics I seen from different vendors had racing strips. I really did not want that nor did I want a hump on the fretboard extension.
The pics they sent me showed a very nice clean top . The Rosewood looked nice but it was hard to see do to glare from the lights . It was very shiny.
Anyway they said give them a few days to get it all checked out for me . I didn’t actually pay for it yet.
They assure me it will be acceptable . They set it up and did their checks and got back to me the next day . So hats off to them for getting right on it.
Now some time next week it should come in and I will get pics , audio etc out so anyone interested can hear it and know about the quality of workmanship etc .
Any bets on it being a keeper or returner ?
