Because of Covid-19 the airport has quieted - but some birds have been seen time to time.

Those are cool! The Songbird appears to be lightly braced.

Also the scanning is not 90 degrees - but slightly offset - so we get sort of 3-dimensional pics - here bw-version where braces jump out more.

Very cool, Nuuska.

I assume that the truss rod appearing to be beneath the G string (and not along the neck's centerline) is an illusion due to the viewing angle?

That's correct - same effect on the XLR-output - neck joint - horn - and preamp casing.

OK

As Rüdi noticed - while I suggested it in his NGD-thread - the Songbird was NOT alone on airport - fact is, that it all happened about noonish - so it must've been a miracle that a Nightbird ( X-2000 to be precise ) happened to land at same time at that same conveyour belt.

And before Ralf mentions it 😏 - yes - A&D strings have knots on them - reason being - this lovely instrument came with skinny strings - and I just happened to have a nice low E-string available - so I simply moved all strings one step higher - too see if that would be the right set. So I just extended original E&A to be A&D by using what was left over from the new E 😂

I'm still contemplating between half-round and slicks . . .

These are by far the most interesting and special photos I have seen on LTG so far!! Even more so since it's a guitar that went through my hands. Great job Nuuska, thank yo for sharing! I bet you had some good fun there 🙂

A few years back K.O.M.A. had posted a X-ray picture done at a veterinarian if I remember correctly, it was his Corona made Bluesbird P-90.
Interesting to see the very different construction vs. the X-2000.
