Just joined. Have a F112 that is almost out of rehab. But the tuners. Originals in drawer, busted gear. Cheap Chinese set on now barely works better than worn out originals. Bought, the returned Grover 305s, way too heavy. Any sources, compatible swaps, etc. I am missing? As not seeing many options. Prefer to stay with open style plate of six. Thanks

Welcome to LTG! What year is your F-112?

Ken Nash still has original 6x6 but they are not cheap:

Another option might be using the Gotoh tuners which Guild uses now on the F-512. Those are the SE701 tuners. You need to measure if they would fit.

The SE701 standard model is the 6-in-line version of the SE700. The SE701 also come standard with those slotted Fender Stratocaster style string posts. So you only add the type of button you want to order (05M for the F-112) and the type of finish (Nickel, Chrome, whatever, see their website for further details about the available finishes).

Thanks guys. Ken’s the spacing was off. But I did find a 70s Yamaha set that speced out. The Machining looked new. May have the fill and drill set screw holes. Gotta be an improvement, and it’s the same era. We’ll see. Thanks again.
What year is my guitar? Guy I got it from said 75. But, It has the oval Guarantee, Made in USA label. #OA 1188. So it could be yearlier. 72?

OA 1188. So it could be earlier. 72?
OA 1188 would be from 1970! During 1970 the serial number system was changed to a 5 digits system without the prefix OA, so OA 1188 should be definitely a 1970 made one. (1970 started with OA 696).
Show us some pictures when you changed to the Yamaha tuners, maybe others have the same question what to use.
