Also this was a hard guitar to choose a forum for! I mean, it's an acoustic - it even has a flat top! LOL, but it's an electric and it's "chambered"... sort of. Anyway I put it here. I'll let the mods decide if I should move it. 🤪

Well done! What an interesting guitar!

BTW, this sentence came out of nowhere and made me laugh out loud: "Whatever the reason, if you’re going to hit someone with this rare and expensive guitar, try and make contact with the wide end for maximum effectiveness."

I moved it to Misc because I kept waffling on where it belongs.

great as ever Gary. I could add some more because I had modded mine with a HB-1 and swapped the agp for a noll mixpot with active 3-band which made it much more useful, because mine had originally huge volume differences with the different emg and piezo settings that I couldn't get rid of. after the modification it did really work great, but -as you also stated- not for my style of music, so she had to go.

edit: I have to say that the routing of the pickup wasn't 100 percent exact on mine and there was a lot of wood dust inside that wassn't removed before finishing.

Well done!! Super interesting write-up about a little known (or understood) model. Lots of great info!

Another great review, and such an interesting guitar! Seems to fall into a pricey jack of all trades/master of none category. With the EMG and piezo, to what music types does it lend itself? It does look cool, though.

As if by providence (or mere coincidence), this showed up today on Reverb, nicely name-dropping GAD's review:

Not as pricey as I'd expect, though still more than I'd spend to satisfy my curiosity. Nice looking guitar!

That's our own @richardp69 who asked me about including the reference, which is funny because seeing his ad is what spawned me to finish my review!

After her into, she showed acoustic tones, then back on the heavy metal. Both pickups have volume controls so you can blend them.

Incredibly thorough article GAD. I read it tonight while waiting in car for my daughter. Was there a recording of it acoustically?

Thanks!

If you mean via a microphone without the pickups, no. It's not really designed to be used that way from what I can see.
