Another friend and I are finally finished selling Scott's estate for his wife, including 27 left-handed guitars and a bunch of amps, pedals, mics, cables, etc. The last item to sell was his Custom-built Langejans Walnut dreadnaught, it sold for $3,400 just ths week..

This little nest egg generated just north of $20K for Linda.

Maybe I should go into guitar brokerage...

And a local music store where Scott used to shop sold a bunch of his gear on consignment for only 10% commission. They took a lot of the miscellaneous stuff off our hands.

That speaks volumes about his character. And your actions speak volumes of yours, Dread

Well, Scott was my best friend. And I might add, the finest musician I've ever had the privelege of teaming up with!

Man, I'm not kidding, we almost had clairvoyance, like Bird & McHale. He knew where I was going and I knew where he was going. Scott typically played in the higher registers with a capo on while I played the standard melody chords. My God, I miss pickin' and grinnin' my friend. It will be 4 years on Easter Sunday that Scott succumbed to the big "C" Cancer. Ironically, Scott was a major volunteer at Gilda's House and Faith Hospice before he got cancer.

As I recall you were called "Mirror Image". Seems like you posted one before but if you have a pic of you and Scott playing I would like to see it, if it's no trouble. I've thought lately that I know way more people in Heaven than I ever wanted to. I'm sorry you miss your friend, but no doubt he's smiling about how you've helped out. I'm sure he knew he could count on you. Well done.

I remember that photo. That was a good deed on your part, and not easy with all the left-hand guitars.

Haha -the fact that they were left-handed actually made it easier for me because there was no reason for me to buy any of them!

They weren't hard to move either, plenty of lefties looking for nice guitars out there.
