This is "Indy," one of our puppies owned by someone else.

After a lifetime of sharing our home with big dogs we are no longer able to deal with the potential loss after losing our boy Marley in April. Not having a dog around makes for a very empty house.

Completely understandable, Mark We were devastated by the loss of our Golden Retriever, Sadie. I think it was 6 years before we were ready for another dog. The we got a puppy: "Koko the Wonder Dog." F1 Goldendoodle. Best dog ever. She's 11 years old now, it's gonna be tough when she passes. Not looking forward to the day.

There are doodle dogs all over the place around here. Pretty dogs but also pretty hyper. Could just be the ones that I have come up to me. Dogs seem to like me for some reason.

Our oldest daughter and her husband have a shelter /rescue home for Boston Terriers. They usually have 4-5 of them, most are old and infirmed, they mostly live downstairs where they can go outside easily and don't have to climb stairs all the time.

She is a Hospice Nurse, I tell her she's doing "Doggy Hospice" as well.

Speaking of which, before all the covid bs, when we were still visiting the Hospice facility, on the same night we were doing music each month a gal was there with her therapy dog going from room to room visiting the people. It was a huge male Rhodesian Ridgeback, beautiful and gentle as a lamb.

. . . Dogs seem to like me for some reason. . .

Dogs know from far that you are the one to be liked - if not they just ignore you.

One example - In my present hometown there is a bridge over tracks near station - so a good spot to observe trains and construction of tracks , crossings and switches. About 18 years ago I was finnish rep for German LGB - garden model railways in 1:22,5 - or G-scale - so I was standing on that bridge trying to learn something about the track layout. - - - Along comes this lady with her golden retriever - I look at left seeing them coming and the dog makes eye-contact - I look back to tracks - they pass me - I turn my head and the dog has turned his/her head to look at me - then after about 6 meters - 20ft - the dog stops - sits down - and keeps looking at me. Then they come to me - dog pulling hard - I scratch and pet it - the lady is embarrassed and apologizing. I told her that dogs and I do know . . .

Just LOVE dogs  😅🐾
