I paid $1,550 for this and that's what I'll sell it for. Personal check/Postal money order preferred but will accept PayPal if that's what you need to do. I can't use the Friends feature for this (long story) but if that's how you want to pay, I'll eat the PayPal fee.

I'm not sure one could call this model rare but I check the various sites several times a day and you seldom see them come up for sale.

Could possibly be interested in a trade (+/- cash either way would be fine) for a nice acoustic (not interested in anything electric) but there's not a lot I'm looking for.

I wonder if GAD reviewed one yet...:cool:

Good luck in the sale, you are right, I don't see them often up for sale!

I have one already (review pending) or I'd be buying his. That's a screaming deal! I think I paid $2k for mine.

Price drop to $1,475 shipped and I eat the PayPal. This will be as low as this particular Crossroads will go.

Howdy Darryl. I was hoping GAD had a review written up on this one. I checked and I don't see one though.

The guitar was designed to give you both an acoustic and an electric sound. The neck pup is a Humbucking pup for the electric sound and the bridge pup is a piezo for the acoustic sound. Personally, I think they do the job well.

Hopefully Gary or some other smart LTG guy will chime in with more info.

The magic of the Crossroads is that you can blend the two pickups and make it sound very unique.

I wonder if adding a humbucker to Songbird would achieve similar results. Could be tested without irreversible modifications.

And while Peregrine has solid block under bridge and through-body strings - is there a Guild crossroads equivalent to that?

The CR01 has no center block and is completely hollow inside with x-bracing. Back and sides are one piece.
I don't know where this following info is originally from but it gives an idea about the electronics: "They comprise an EMG 89 humbucker/single coil at the neck and a Fishman AG-125 piezo under-the-saddle acoustic in the bridge. Each has its own volume control. The electric volume pushes and pulls to select the humbucker or the single coil in the EMG 89. The acoustic volume control is a remotely mounted pot from an internally mounted Fishman AGP-2 preamp. Fishman designed the AGP-2 for side mounting with its attached controls in the top upper shoulder or bout of an acoustic. Instead, Guild hid it inside on a back plate. The AGP-2's treble and bass controls are still functional and attached to it, hidden under the plate. A master tone control sits next to the volume controls in a straight line on the top near the bottom lower bout and a 3 position toggle above the upper cutaway selects either pickup alone or combines the two. The control knobs are knurled chrome cylinders with the combined electric volume/coil switching push-pull knob knurled heavier than the others. "

That info is correct. Both the CR01 and the slash model have hidden tone controls.
