The US made DV-6s were mahogany back & sides, the later (Mexican?) made ones were Rosewood (and they never made DV-52s outside of the US).
Always wanted a DV-52. Usually, price was what came into, or under consideration... As well as my preference for the DV-6. That said, those that I personally know who've owned them, swear that they are their best guitars (even sometimes including Martins of much higher value).
