Hi all! New to this board and new to Guild - I've just bought a new D-40 about 3 weeks ago and I am really loving it.
I've caught one thing that I'm a little unsure about - the satin finish is already beginning to get noticeably glossier in a few places of heavy contact. These include the back of the neck, part of the top where my strumming arm rests while playing, and part of the back where the guitar leans against my body. I'm aware that nitro satin finishes are expected to get glossy with use, but 2-3 weeks seems very soon for it to be noticeable. Might this indicate a flaw in the finish, or does it sound expected?
Thanks!
