Yeah, I have no problem with pink, but then remember that I loved the '80s!

My unnatural attraction to this guitar seems suddenly quite explainable!! It's basically several PINK TRIANGLES!!! More than mere coincidence? I ask you......:ROFLMAO::LOL:

Do Whoopie Pies go well with Cappuccino?
Personally I prefer them with black coffee or espresso. I'll treat myself to 2 or 3 a year. My wife watches in horror.

Nice story GAD....but it looks like you forgot to mention the 2 Bridge Doctors you installed as well

The bridge is screwed into that beautiful pink top at the factory.

That is the purdiest G&L I ever seen, almost want it.

There's something about a pink guitar... I've always wanted to see the frontman in a deathcore meta bandl or whatever they call it these days playing a Pink Hello Kitty First Act guitar ;]]

You did good making it play. Important.

My experience with some of these ultra el cheapo guitars is too many issues to deal with to turn them into a decent playable instrument given the time and energy I want to devote.

I remember selling a guy a Squier Starcaster at their house, in front of a whole family watching, I could not make the guitar stay in tune long enough to play anything that didn't sound awful, this was with new strings, stretched, as good as that guitar would get without a lot of work. They bought it anyway, and I felt kinda sick afterwards. All of my first guitars so much better than that. Silvertone Amp In Case guitar comes to mind. Freakin awesome players, great necks.

And yeah, real men do wear pink ;]]

I fell into this body somehow when I was looking to build a Tele that wasn't Butterscotch. I've never had any other color than Butterscotch. I really wanted black, or early 60's style aged faded white with green guard, couldn't find one of those that I ever liked and fell for a Pink Paisley instead. It speaks for itself, it gets comments. It always get comments.

Though I insisted on no payment, they brought a gift bag and they paid me in whoopie pies!

For those of you not from the New England or Pensilvania Dutch areas, these are whoopie pies:

They are the most decadent calorie-rich bad-for-you treat on Earth and I LOVE THEM! The best way to describe the center filling is something like egg whites, shortening and confectioner's sugar. Each one is probably 800 calories. Maybe 1000. I'm going to go eat one right now.

They're called "Gobs" around here. And, those look so good, they may have over-paid ya....

I had been aware of the Zakk Wilde video, but forgot... Maybe the only time I've liked him in a video, sans pinch harmonics ad nauseum.

Paisley is a modern day guitar hero. That might the oversprayed Paisley Tele he restored.

.....

Zakk once stated in an interview that he had the inspiration for his trademark pinch harmonics from Billy Gibbons, and that he made his guitar teacher show him how to play it... Furthermore he says it was a running gag among his entourage to give him a quarter for each pinch harmonic they hear in other bands for royalties... 🤦‍♂️

If you ask me, Zakk should PAY for each pinch harmonic note, just like the kids when you make them pay a dime whenever they use curse words.

Rich you better have had a good reason to ask that question........
No, I just think it's such a stereotype for little girls to get used to pink everything -- those bikes are always pink with white tires. Boys get to choose the color of their bike, no?

We have two Schwinn Stingray's I'm saving for grandkid that's still way too small. One's Green and Yellow, I just love those colors. And the other is a pink Fair Lady Stingray with flowers on the seat. Her mom says she's gonna pick the Green/yellow one, we'll see.

Back to pinch harmonics. Who am I to talk, I've been know to abuse them at will when playing with a pick ;}}

You need to get out more often. While there are many young girls who are allowed to choose pink and do so, the pink/blue stereotype seems to be most often of concern to the grandparents.
