I do see a delete thingy below the reply after posting it.

And so, to follow Frono, the logic is that if you wish to delete prior to posting you delete the draft. If after posting you delete the post. Makes sense, just different from the old way. I can be flexible!

This is correct. There were no drafts saved on the old system.

Just so I understand, you guys are not seeing the blue tools on the bottom?

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ those don't show up for you?
I see those, but I was wondering about cancelling uposted drafts too, which Frono has now explained in post #34 above.

Actually I used to get a "restore unsaved content" message in the right circumstances, (nice if one accidentally logged off or moved on and forgot to post) but it's moot now.

I decided it was my browser that did that although I don't recall why I decided that.

Today I also see the "Delete" after I posted a message, is it possible that is not available in all sub forums maybe? Because yesterday I didn't see it, don't remember which post it was however... I will watch this if I miss it again somewhere.

EDIT: I searched and found my post from yesterday! Da, da! It's not there!
It's in the "LTGers only" subforum!

Now that's some useful data! Let me check...

That was it! XenForo has a pretty wacky permissions structure that everyone complains about, and that's what likely caused the problem. Any better?

Well here's a fun THINGS THAT DO WORK RIGHT!!! I was wondering since this new software is more like other social media and has features we've come to be familiar with. So I wondered if you could unfollow or un-whatever a specific thread. Nothing against anyone who's having fun with a topic, but if it's something I don't care about and I don't really want to see it keep showing up AGAIN AND AGAIN...... and there IS A WAY!! You click on the thread or subject, on the left you have page numbers and next>, and over at the far right you have "Unwatch". Click that, it asks you to confirm, and BOOM! You won't see it any more. I suppose I'll have to do it again when we go to "Song Title Thread Part 3" when it crashes the software AGAIN, but until then...... I'm SAFE!! This is so awesome!!!

"Watch" is not "show/hide". Watching a thread means you posted in it or otherwise want to follow so the little bell on the top right of the page increments a counter when someone posts in a watched thread. Similarly, if I tag you like this: @davismanLV you'll get a mention alert. That can all be tuned in your profile.
