Ian Anderson on a Guild sighting

It looks small enough to be an F-112.

Ian Anderson on a Guild sighting

Ian is known for playing small acoustics like his Martin 0-21 NY, but when he needs a 12er, who does he turn to? Why, Guild, of course! Don't blink!

    Kenton gems

Since my father passed I’ve been working my way through his CDs while I’m driving. (After all, he was the one who got me into jazz, playing it since I was born.) Yesterday’s driving music was a CD of early Stan Kenton from the 40s. Still very swing band based, I love the driving rhythm guitar in...

Rare '57 Guild M50 on craigslist

And Hans joked about an M-40, but, there WAS an M-40 model. Kind of. It was F-40 sized, all mahogany, but had a few different touches and got a different name. Can you name it? (Hint, I have one in my sig. file.)

    Guild's lighter-weight archtops?

I did a little weighing today. My 1960 Starfire II and X-150 both weighed in at 6 lbs (give or take 1/2 oz.). My 1958 A-350 weighed in at 6 lbs., 4 oz. I was using a digital kiddy/kitty scale.

    A-350 soon available

Yours? I’ve been wondering/worrying that I might need to sell mine. Hoping not to, but times may prove unkind.
