Kind of craving a Big Mac.
This is just sick and wrong! I love it!
If I recall correctly, whilst Soylent is mentioned in this novel, and in several other Harry Harrison stories, I don't think that Green was. The whole cannibalisms element was something that was added for the movie.Soylent Green, in the book "Make Room, Make Room" was a combination of soy and lentils, hence the name...
As a movie, I really like it, but as an adaptation of the book it's terrible! Very little of Harry's novel left, but some fine performances, including Edward G, Robinson's last. I always think it's a shame that there haven't been more of Harry Harrison's books adapted for movies, or perhaps TV mini seriesHarry hated the movie.
That is too funny! OMG my wife and I are laughing hysterically, and I can see that happening. I have had the bagger at the grocery store put them on the bottom of my bags with other stuff on top of them, squishing them and deforming them some. But if you haven’t tried em, I say don’t knock it til you try it. We only do their hot Italian flavor but usually cook it up with bell peppers and onion, over some basmati rice topped with Franks Red Hot, so good. The beyond meatballs aren’t so bad either, I skittle fry them and throw em in my big vat of homemade sauce. At least they aren’t as sci fi as the cultured cells eventually turning into meat like the original post is about. Plant based fake meat is at little more palatable but if this other stuff has the texture and taste, I’ll try it. Disclaimer, I still eat steak and I do love me a good hunk of red meat couple times a week, but gotta mix it up.Beyond Meat - Beyond Sausage w
Yes, this! Plus the protein profile is as complete as with real meat. Might as well just eat regular ol' vegetables, greens and beans and throw in a little bit of pasta with it.there is so much salt and fat in the meat-isque products that it is almost as unhealthy.
But what was the question?I think the answer is simply...forty two
