I always think of that late rehash of those Frankie Avalon/Annette Funicello beach movies (I think it was Back To The Beach.....that had Bob Denver playing the bartender where every time someone sitting at the bar lays their problems on him, he topped them w/ his own reference to Gillian's Island. One was, "Oh yeah, you think that's bad? I was once stuck on an island for 3 years w/ a professor that could make a radio out of a coconut but couldn't fix a 2ft hole in a friggin boat!!"
(IIRC, Stevie Ray Vaughn and Dick Dale were in that same movie playing Pipeline!!)
