GF30 truss rod nut.

Can anyone help re: what size the truss rod nut is?
On an 87 GF30.
I think it needs an eighth of a turn.
It’s not 6.35mm. (1/4 inch). Just tried that.
The nut is larger than that.

Westerly truss rods used a 1/4" nut... so unless it was replaced (or is one of those Guild off-spec things that happen), 1/4" is what is SHOULD be. I use a 1/4" exchangeable bit screw driver with the bit removed to adjust the rods on my Guilds... fits down into the hole better than my 1/4" socket driver.

Exactly what I do!! I take the exchangeable bit driver with the orange handle, pull the bit out and the thin walls of the shaft slide right down over the nut. 1/4" socket is too thick. Give it a try, @macky
