OK, OK...just a lip-synch situation, but I still enjoyed stumbling across it, just because that doesn't happen all that often. Note that Corbitt is also playing a Guild SF and "Banana", the guy on keys, also always been playing a Guild (M75?) in all the footage and PICs I've ever seen of that band.

Mebbe somebody already posted this one in the past...

It's nothing personal. Sometimes folks have nothing to say or no time to say it.

What I would have posted if I had time to do my own research would have been comments on who was playing what. Several listings have Jesse Colin Young as the only person with bass credits in the mid-60's. So is the Corbitt ID wrong, or the traditional credits wrong or since this is lip synch are people just goofing around and pretending to play instruments that didn't usually play?

Sorry I didn't differentiate more clearly. I just referred to Corbitt's instrument (a guitar) as "also an SF" because I'm not up enough on SF guitars to be able to tell if it was an SFIV, SFV or SFVI. Pretty sure all hands are stationed at the instruments the really played in the band (even if they weren't actually playing them for the filming).

Here are some more PICs, with teaser glimpses of Guilds. Couldn't find any still PICs of Corbitt playing a Guild. Looks like Young switched to various Danelectro basses after Corbitt split the group.

Lowell “Banana” Levinger's Guild

Telltale "harp" tailpiece

(Guild SF-XII? and SF Bass)

Further trivia item: after leaving The Youngbloods, Corbitt formed the "Corbitt/Daniels Band" and toured with Charlie Daniels.

Since your post was in Bass, my focus was on the bass. Indeed the preview of the video on my screen clearly shows a Starfire I bass circa 1966.

Just came across this one. Bass player on the right is Jeff Cotton, who played guitar in Captain Beefheart's Magic Band during the "Trout Mask Replica" era. He also did the falsetto singing/recital in "Pena" and "The Blimp" on that same album. The PIC below was taken after he left Beefheart's band. He had played with Frankhauser before, in a high school band called "The Exiles":
