Nice guitars PreacherBob and that D46 Ash got my attention.
Liked em all
Yes sir I just recently purchased the D46. Aside from a couple blemishes it’s in almost collectors condition. I just now put it back in the case, i play it a little every night, it’s hard to stop. Something about the neck fits my hand just right, a little different (narrower??shallower??) from my other Guilds. It’s got a mahogany type strong punchy, dry woody midrange and yet the crunchy growl of maple, all at the same time. It’s an odd but pleasant sound for sure. I’ll do a little recording with an SM81 small condenser mic and compare it to some other Guilds.
So I only had one Guild 6 weeks ago when I joined LTG, so somethin’s goin’ on here. 🤭🤔 And I sold that one several weeks ago

Hard to have just one Guild and see you have increased your fold, quickly. You will get nothing but encouragement from LTG members--best group of enablers of any forum--REALLY!!

Serious enabling here!! When I arrived 11 years ago, I only had two guitars and 1 Guild. Now I'm at 5 with two of them Guilds. This could just be the beginning......
Yeah I had already figured on selling a lot of the acoustics I’ve collected over the years. I had sold some here and there over the last few years, but still have 20+. And If I dont get anymore Guilds (😂🤣😅🤫) I’d like to narrow things down to 12. So Tom I just sold that Black EA20 on EBay. I got $600 + shipping. I paid $200 for it about seven years ago. vintage quality guitars are definitely bringing top dollar these days. It was in such good condition like a lot I have, I was always reluctant to play them, and that’s not doing anybody any good. So I read your little philosophy signature, “Use the good china. Life itself is the special occasion.” Then I thought, “Use the good guitars. Life itself is the stage”. So now for my collection, I’m saying “Use’m or lose’m“

When I started I had two Guilds.
So GAD before, I had looked at your Guild total 99, and thought…”Why doesn’t Gad just get that ONE MORE Guild, to hit the three digit count!?” I couldn’t restrain myself, I would have to do it..

As luck would have it, I was looking for a guitar in my inventory database here in the wee hours of the morning - and it wasn't there! You want to know how to tell if you have a problem? It's when you find guitars you don't remember having or find one that you somehow missed during inventory.

So anyway, the number is now an even 100. Which guitar was missing? This blue fretless Pilot SB602F:

Here's a thread on it from when I got it: https://letstalkguild.com/ltg/index.php?threads/my-blue-bass.193165/

Wow that’s amazing! If I knew THAT bass existed out there, I would have learned to play bass JUST so I could have it.😮and those strings are destined to be on there, just for aesthetics alone. The black, then the wrapped red ends, it all fits perfectly with the blue. So I had a partially fretless acoustic guitar many years back. Only because I like low action and every thing was fine until I got to about the 11or 12th fret and the buzzing started because of the dreaded hump syndrome. So in sort of a players rage 😡 , I just yanked all the frets out after that. So it was partially fretless. (BTW, that was my first fret job😬)So now as I’m doing fret work, I think, “oh boy, if I’d only thought about filing those frets on that poor guitar..” Glad to see you hit the century 100 mark, congrats!!👏🎉

So six Guilds in six weeks? What will you be doing for week seven?

For anyone who doesn’t like the sigs, you can turn them off in your preferences. I’m sure Frono knows that but for anyone out there who doesn’t, say the word and I’ll post instructions.
