I’m not very choosy as to picks, but lately I have enjoyed the Dunlop Flows .88 and 1.0.
And the red Dunlop Jazz III is still one of my favourites.

Ya stole my thunder, fro! Well, I do love my silver picks!

But my standard go-to pick for acoustic is a Nylon Cat's-Tongue/Brain pick,114 mm.

Dunlop Nylon .60mm or .73mm. They're cheap and easy to find. I'm not terribly fussy about picks and I always use one. People talking about picks wearing out is funny. I never keep them that long for that to matter! Where do they go? Some I give away. But mostly they just go missing. I buy them in bags of 12. Lately, I've been using the same two over and over and they've not gone missing. I wonder why? Maybe the place where picks go to is full now......

p.s. - I have good pick karma. I find them everywhere. So I'm good at finding other peoples picks, but not my own!
Tom,
Remeber what Zuzu's teacher said. "Every time a bell rings, a guitar player loses a pick".

I was a die-hard Jim Dunlop .60mm nylon user for many years - yes, the grey ones are good BUT the special gold anniversary ones are even better! I think the mold they used for these gold ones was much fresher and the little grip dimples were just slightly more prominent, they are fantastic!

But then I bought my SJ-200 and the nylons were suddenly too dark - I sat down and tried dozens of different picks - the one I kept coming back to was the Strings & Beyond black 'T' thin celluloid pick.

I get bags of 100 extra heavy celluloid teardrops frm China on Ebay. They's stupid cheap and the work for me, I get more "click" than with nylon or tortex picks, and that works well for me and the music I play.

With the silver picks, the metal expands as it warms up between my fingers and produces a nice tone.

I use 1 mm to 1.5 mm picks. My favorite is the Martin Luxe pick at about $20. All the others are basically backup, whether they are Dunlop, Ernie Ball, or John Pearse. I have no use for anything thinner than a .73 mm. People think my guitars are loud, but I know that the pick selection results in a high volume tone.

If I had a "dinner" from McDonalds, would you suggest that I be called Donald?
Until I decide otherwise, I just prefer that you stick with RBSinTo.

Wow, 95% are using picks thinner than 0,88mm or so. I didn’t do that for years. I have to try again!
