$1,600 * shipping to LTG members. Other than a couple minor dings and the scuff an the back of the headstock, this is one clean machine, folks! IMG_8553.JPGIMG_8554.JPGIMG_8556.JPGIMG_8557.JPGIMG_8559.JPGIMG_8561.JPGIMG_8562.JPG

Moved to FS. Since the previous listing had the wrong pics and this was posted elsewhere, I will suspend my usual obsessive FS moderation for things that were posted before the move, but not necessarily after :)

Sorry for the confusion with multiple listings; I had a heck of a time attaching photos for some reason.

True. The 1 5/8" nut rules it out for me. Besides I've got my Breedlove now to soothe the blues!!

@dreadnut you should measure the action at the 12th fret. Looks like it might be a tad high. And "I dunno" isn't really a good enough answer in a for sale thread.

I shall measure it at the 12th fret and report back.
Mine came outta the box right at the spec 5-6/64ths on low E to 4-5/64ths on the high, with spec PB extra lights, .010-.047, EJ-15's.
Yours is same era, so this '97 Guild Gallery article with action specs is correct for our guitars:

(Note link corrected as noted in post #17)

I've come to the conclusion that those tops respond much better (mine at least does) to that (or even lower) tension than anything heavier unless severely tuned down. I think silk'n'steel/bronze strings really bring out the sweetness in maple.

It has a bit of bridge lift, and a slight bit of bellying, and I can see the outlines of the braces in the top, it's that thin.

[EDIT: I said: "Also, they have "floating X" top bracing," but F65ce's DO NOT have floating X, they have Standard X per '99 GG specs page].

Apologies, but wanted to make sure your guitar is also accurately presented.

Gorgeous piece, though. Got the final/best pre-amp, too, that's a plus. As is case.

Dang almost makes me wish I had a little more room to spare around here, I'd probably be talking to you. :D

The action measures about 5/32" at the 12th fret from the fingerboard to the bottom of the low E string.

32nds or 64ths? 5/32=10/64, way high. Should be 5-6/64 on low E and 4-5/64 on high E.

Oh, and it's not "from the fingerboard", it's from top of fret to bottom of string since after all the frets are the contact point. ;)

PS: Ralf just let me know I gave the wrong link above, here's the correct one from the '97 Guild Gallery confirming action spec, straight from Jim Inman at Westerly:

Actually, that's just over 1/8" - 5/32". not very high at all in my estimation. 5/64 would be just over 1/16".

If you measure it from the top of the fret, it's even less.
