Read ohms with a meter, but in lieu of a meter, what's the sound difference between the neck pickup and bridge pickup, is the bridge pickup really hot by comparison, like full on AC/DC?

Is that a late 80's/early 90's Made in Japan MNOPQ code Tele Custom?

Quick YouTube search on how to read ohms and it’s showing 7.7ohms on the bridge pickup and 7.5 on neck, does that sound right ?

MIJ, as I thought. A real early one, 80's. I think the serial info is on the bridge plate. These are really fantastic Teles.

I see some figure on that neck. Extra nice.

I agree with BP, replace the bridge pickup with an original, hopefully one that matches the wear on the neck p'up cover. Looks pretty clean as in mostly unplayed. Wonder how long ago the pickup swap? If that's a vintage replacement humbucker with black/red bobbins, and it has factory 3 screw mounting, who made it?

Yes, the Ohms readings are bang on, for original pickups. So it's not a high output pickup, so why swap it in?

The plot thickens.

Actually, looking at the bobbins close up, it looks like all the pole screws are Allen head, socket head. That could/would be a DiMarzio X2N?

Could be this one - the bobbin holes match - a Mo Joe, a Satriani design, maybe there's an adapter plate on the bass side to give it the 3 screw configuration?

You sure volume was up all the way when you got your Ω reading?
