I went and voted at 1130 am, there was no lineup in my precinct at that time.

Unusually good turnout this year, possibly historic. Only 136 mil voted last time around, this could come in at triple that? What if it was law you had to vote? I hear it does exist somewhere. Civic duty I suppose. No man is an island onto himself as we like to think that we are.

I was on line for an hour this morning at my polling place, and it was the first time in 13 elections since I've lived here that I ever had to wait. It was cold and windy, but it was great watching democracy in action. Vote everyone!

Not sure why I posted this in "Acoustic/Acoustic Electric," should have been in "Miscellaneous." Maybe someone could move it for me.

In my state old farts are allowed to do mail in voting. I took them up on the mail in voting back in early October. There is website to confirm they got my ballot.

Moved thread.

I voted in person but during early voting at the Registrar's office. Local polling place is a church. The Praise Band had a rehearsal and 6 out of 10 present tested positive for Covid. Building is probably safe but... Drove by a couple times today and not as many cars in the lot as I recall. But some large portion - over 50% - of the expected votes from the county have already been cast.

Will do it on my way home from work. Then a quickkie nap. I always open a nice bottle of wine around 9 and watch as the returns come in. I still remember last time the utter astonishment of all the news anchors.

I will not miss the ads.

Just a reminder to keep all politics out of this thread or it will be shut down.

I voted weeks ago. Since I travel so much I've used mail-in ballots for the past 10 years.

Oregon has been all vote-by-mail for many years.

Once you’ve experienced it statewide, you realize it makes total sense - and more so than ever in the midst of a pandemic!
