My Roland XP-50 finally died after 21 years. I just picked up this Roland VR09B Great sounding and lots of buttons and knobs - vs. menu-driven controls that make me crazy. Lots of fun so far.
...I just picked up this Roland VR09B...
BTW: An old buddy of mine used to do all the recording of the actual pipe organs used in the Roland keyboards. They sound amazing and just as good as the more popular Nords.
He was the project manager for recording for Rodgers Organs when Roland used to own them. Rodgers still makes traditional pipe organs, and my buddy said that Roland bought them specifically to record them to use for their digital sounds samples on other Roland keyboards.<veer> What was his job? Organist? Recording engineer? Person who selected which organs and stops should be sampled? All of the above?
