You can just see the enough of he side of he body on the left to maybe see that there is no binding on the back which would indeed make it a thin body.

It's one of a relatively small batch of guitars that were done during the early '80s, basically just to get rid of unfinished bodies that were still lying around.They were offered to a long-time Guild dealer who agreed to buy them all and so far I've seen them in 4 different finish colors, all with 2 HB-1s and the same control-layout.

Wow, thanks Hans! I'm amazed they had bodies laying around in the factory for 10 or more years. Very interesting surprises that still pop up from Guild's history.

Wow, thanks Hans! I'm amazed they had bodies laying around in the factory for 10 or more years. Very interesting surprises that still pop up from Guild's history.

Some of the GSR electrics made in New Hartford were allegedly made from bodies that had been around for at least 20 years.
