sixx, thanks. Not on my behalf, please. I was only taking in a stray dog. Epic fail, apparently.

Well if you're SURE...as I sit here noodling on my F50R...so comfy, delicious tone...

Tee hee hee.... Nothing subliminal at all. Blatant, would be my assessment. :)

Aren't they great, though!? My favorite 6-string on the planet. Probably no small coincidence that my favorite 12-string is its brother, the F-512.

I haven't had this very long...in fact, it still has the strings from the previous owner. Earthtone or something like that 80/20 mediums. I'm bonding with the guitar with these strings...it's an interesting guit. Fits like a glove, love the body shape of Guild's jumbo. Snugs right up. Such a great balance to the F50R too...the sound starts off inside and melts out. I'm digging it quite a bit. The previous owner was a strummer but I've just been doing bare finger and nail stuff. I have no discernible talent but I do love guitars.

Originally I figured that was yer hidden agenda fer takin' the stray, to get a matched pair.
From the same factory even.
Whelps with the same mama from different litters.
Peas from different pods.
Whopsie, feel a song gestating.

I bought mine new in 1979. It's THE most awesome guitar I've ever heard. I already had a 1975 Martin D-18 that was so outstanding in tone and volume that it would literally stop jam sessions at all the bluegrass festivals I went to because everyone wanted to get their hands on it. The Guild beats the Martin in every way--tone, volume---you name it. It ain't the easiest guitar to play because I raised the action a bit to get even more tone/volume, but it still beats anything I've ever heard/played.

Talent, or no, Sixx, you have great taste in Guilds!
