Yesterday I received an F30R made in 1973. It has a few issues & I'm assessing whether or not to keep it, but I was just curious about the label.
I know this has come up before, but can't recall the discussion. The label only says Made in USA. It does not list the city of origin as either Hoboken or Westerly.
These were made in Westerly, correct? And for how long was this label used?
The tone is beautiful, and the neck feels wonderful. Unfortunately the neck angle & corresponding neck relief are a bit wonky, so I'll do some setup work to see how well it dials in before making a final decision on this one.
Although I had purchased a new F30 back in the day, I've never played the fancier F30R, so this is fun!
