The artist I listen to the most, remarkable career indeed. I have picked up more songs to play from her than anyone else, and through her recordings personally discovered quality such as TVZ, Paul Siebel, Steve Earle, Rawlings & Welch etc.. What I truly don't understand is how she comes up with those absolutely great backing bands, never a dud dating back to the original Hot Band.
Another Spyboy rocker, same concert?

Yes the Hot Band from 1974-1981 was quite good. However I saw Emmylou play in California with "the Nash Rambler" who was quite dull and unimaginative, & also with no drummer. What a let down. You know a lot of mandolin strumming for leads, some boring fiddle, and no lead guitar.

This guitar player is great, and the drummer would seem to be over-doing it except that those accents worked in with that great guitar solo.

Buddy Miller has some great albums of his own... he's a great songwriter as well.

Indeed he is Joe. His latest "Majestic Silver Strings" is definitely not to be missed, as is the stuff that he's doing with Robert Plant's Band of Joy right now. I love all his odd guitars, too.

I consider him to be nothing short of a national treasure. Wife Julie's no slouch either.
