This guitar came to me a shell of a 66 330

I sent it away to a friend for "the works" which in Rick terms is Checkerboard binding on the front back and headstock, and I opted for the "blue Boy " treatment which is a recreation of some custome Rics made for Jim Reeves Blue Boys in the late 50's

Here it is primed and Bound

Hi Billy; really fine job with the Rickie ... and I caught your Weight Loss vid too ... didn't recognize you in the Rick-vid given some of the old pics you posted here ... I expected to see the same guy ... good going with the Rick but even more congrats on the 'weightier' matter. John

If I may, I'd like to echo what CapnJ said, on both counts.

As impressive as the guitar thread is, your weight loss video sends a great message to anyone/everyone who might find themselves in a similar 'predicament.'
You're just a regular poster boy for good health!

And continued good health to you,
Joe

I don't think I'm breaking any commandments by lusting after your new guitar. Well, coveting maybe.

Sounds as great as it looks, too :D

Hey Billy, that wasn't the one that had the neck snapped off. You should post that here too.
Details on the "shell." How bad was it?

Wow! Great job singing and playing! Major swing chops!

I love the color and the checker binding! Do you gig with it?

I do a little work with Ric-style guitars too but I like with bigger, longer necks. I whipped these up a couple years ago from scratch. I love the Ric look!

Another Good Guitar Shepherd Award going out to our man Billy.

And you're looking as lean and mean as the Rick. All good on ya' mate. :)
