I had assumed that we were talking about a VW "Thing".

GAD, will your new thing fit into the VW Thing (post #6) without folding down the top of said VW Thing, and still allow you adequate room for driving VW Thing home with your new thing inside?

Once home in the VW Thing transporting your new thing will you be able to unload your new thing out of the VW Thing and get it into its permanent position without the assistance of additional sets of muscles?

Is your new thing and inside thing or an outside thing, i.e., does it require protection from the elements?

This is like an episode of What's my Line, but change the last word to Thing.

We need to go all Sherlock Holmes on this....

1) GAD is posting it here, because he thinks we might appreciate it.
2) It isn't intended to make music unplugged, but must be rather hollow.
3) It not very small but has an opening you could put things in.
4) It is not something brand new
5) It isn't something the forum already has a sub section about, like an amp or "other stringed instrument "
6) It isn't a VW Thing or a Zepplin.
7) He isn't so proud of it that he just had to come out and TELL us, like a normal post. That means is could be weird.
8) Something, something that I don't have enough data to speculate about.

That makes is painfully obvious, for those with a proper power of observation and logical mind.

Nicely done.

The answer to the first two paragraphs is "yes".

As for the last, there are two questions there. I'll say simply that it will get ruined if left in the rain.

All but two of those are correct.

Is it a cake? (bad reference to an old song)

Hmmm. . . not the Landmaster. Dang! And only two from the list are incorrect? How about an answer to matsickma's question?

3) Does it require electricity?

Besides an antique tube-driven oscilloscope, the most GADish cool thing I can think of is a classic Marantz 2600 tuner. It can hold bread, right?
