    Guild Sighting-Cyril Pahinui

Forgive me if this has been posted before or is known to all you smart people, but I was surprised.

I've been on a Hawaiian Slack-Key kick, and happened on this mega-super group with Cyril Pahinui playing a Songbird (Solo at 1:42):

    Thanks for posting that.

Saw Henry Kapono in Waikiki during one of our trips to Hawai'i. He released The Wild Hawai'ian earlier that year and it was still EVERYWHERE on the radio.

One of the major musical regrets of my life is not seeing Israel Kamakawiwo'ole in concert. When we go to Hawai'i I'm listening to Iz the whole way - all 12 hours in the air. Puts me in the right frame of mind.

It looks like there are other songs from that same back yard session up on YouTube - I know what I'm doing tonight when I get home.

Now that's a story! Including the Songbird! And the thief took the uke with the name on it to a store. Wonder why they did not arrest that thief yet if the store realized it?
