    Guild Baritone Acoustics?

I very much like the sound of Baritone acoustic guitars and own one made a German luthier based in Markneukirchen, hometown of C.F. Martin. But I never came across across a Guild Baritone acoustic. Was there ever one? And if not why not?

Sorry if this question has been asked before and there is a thread on it already.

    Greetings from Germany

No, there was no Baritone guitar in the real Guild offering.
The only one in the "DeArmond by Guild" line (but not an acoustic) was the "Bajo Jet" and the idea came from the early 80ies Veillette Citron Shark Baritone guitar which was developed on John Sebastian's request.
He talked about this here: http://www.vintageguitar.com/3611/john-sebastian/
And also here Joe Veillette talks about it: http://www.veilletteguitars.com/about.shtml

Baritone Ukes will be as close as you get. They did do some custom tenor archtops.

Right, I forgot about the Baritone Ukuleles from the 60ies. The tenor guitars were an option in the catalogs I believe.

    Some Tenor examples:

Karl-Heinz Neudel, worked for 38 years at Musima, has his own workshop since 2004. A versatile, experienced guitar maker for acoustics, archtops and solid bodies, has made guitars for many popular East German musicians.
