as said in another thread: hello, all. it's been a... while. some of you may remember me from the days of yore, and looks like my earlier threads and posts are still around. i hope you will welcome a prodigal son returning to the LTG fold.

the reason for a new post: last week for my birthday, my dad gave me back the 1973 Guild F212XL i found for him in Alaska exactly 30 years ago. he's getting too old to play it, and wanted me to have it. it plays well and sounds absolutely glorious. i love all my Guild six string guitars, but this thing just rings out.

i did post a question about minor repairs in the Tech Shop, if anyone is interested to look.

I guess you were before my time, but welcome back, Rich! Gotta love a jumbo Guild 12-string! Congrats on the hand-down!

well, that sucks... we had two or three pages of fun discussion here, and also on my "12 string tuning" thread as well, but it looks like the board went down and lost some history (all of it in the case of the tuning post). bad timing for this post and a few others, but 20 years working IT has taught me not to cry over spilt bits. :)

I just got a 1972 F212...……….blown away at the volume that thing has. It sounds soooo good.
