Sh** man that sucks.. Loved him when I was a kid.. RIP Mr. Mahoney.. He was a cop for a couple of years before getting into music.. NYPD..

Way too young indeed. I was in a band that played Two Tickets. What a fun tune to play. RIP sir.

Damn that is sad. Liked his music and the guitars
were always rockin'. Remember his appearance on
SNL, think that was when I was in high school, they
rocked Two Tickets to Paradise, and that spare, unhurried
and somehow perfect guitar solo was just unforgettable!

He played a few years ago at the Palace theater in Syracuse for a benefit for Clearpath by Benny Mardones who is suffering horribly from Parkinsons.

Ran into Eddie Money at a local restaurant before the show....did not know he was in town...waitress said he was in other room so of course like a good little groupie we headed over to peek. Very gracious, waved us over, let us take selfies etc. Said he was playing at the Palace, a friend was manager there, he got us in although it was sold out.

Spent the night 10' away from him...he was fun.
