Try an acoustic amp with a Shure SM-57 mic.
The best natural sound that you can get.

This may be the answer to my question, which was how to amplify all of your instruments.

I tried the new Dean Markley stick on pickup, sounds pretty awful and doesn't look so great, leaves sticky residue everywhere you try it. One session was enough.

I would only use one in a loud band situation, unless of course, you want to sound more electric.

With today's mics and amps seems about 18" is all you would need. From guitar to mic and modern technology takes over and your good to go.

I have a DeArmond RHC-B I rarely use partly because of what Frono said. You can always run the cord out the sound-hole without any effect on the guitar other that the positlble scratches. They make your acoustic sound more like an electric. Check out the YouTube comparisons. Y
