I always use those when playing strange guitars, to protect myself from this stuff:

Trying to identify the chord he was playing. Oh, that wasn't a player but a salesman!

Reminds me of the time, when working in downtown Helsinki about 1974 - after work I come out from the building with my younger colleague who was a countryboy - we step on the busy street filled with petrol and diesel exhaust fumes clearly visible - and he says . "So good we can see what we breath - in the countryside we never know what we breath . . ."

He's playing an open E string and muting the other 5 strings!

Those things remind me of "The Beetle"!

Hey AD, ya think those "mite" get you? ;)

Just bought a pack, wth, $3 shipped from Shenzhen Province, how they make any money doing that I've been wondering for a while? Not not to go down a forbidden rabbit hole... I just recently found out (recent events) that's Hong Kong so that explains a lot, you may want to get your stuff now rather than later unless...

I had bought some tiny finger condoms that were more of a ripoff that anything, you can destroy one just putting it on, so these "mite" be quite interesting.

What I really need is to take one of these, and McGuyver myself a finger extension for my 2nd finger that was partially chopped off in a teenage horseplay incident. I can probably do it, or at least experiment on the cheap.

To buy something like that is like buying an Epipen, but double...

I supposed any good silicone seal would stick to these so can create just the right addition.

I need some finger augmentation surgery ;)

Have you considered non-surgical alternatives?
chinese-finger-trap.jpg

Of course one must remember to use only as prescribed.

The microbes ARE the aliens, they're here already.
We're just the animal farm.
Blissfully unaware of the million-year-old deadly conflict raging just under our radar between the flies, the epidermal mites, and the e. coli bacteria.

Those are actually for people who don't play enough to build up callouses on their fingertips.
