Which late 50s model is Dick Dale is he playing here. Orpheum script logo with Chesterfireld, looks almost like an Aristocrat, but maybe too wide.

But think it's just the foreshortening making the body look wider than it is.

As far as I know, the Aristocrat and Freshman were the only models that came with soapbar style Franz pickups. Other models had dogear mounts.

And the script logo. Have we seen that on other early Aristocrats?

EDIT: Nevermind. Hans does indeed mention the script + Chesterfield on some ‘57 Aristocrats.

Yes, the Script logo was used on the Aristocrat in 1957. Various pictures on Google of them.

The guitar has 10 block inlays on the finger board. Hans' material mentions the 8 block inlay boards starting in '59. So, '57, 58 and maybe early '59?
