I stated I would post when this arrived.

Arrived yesterday: A 1994/5 X160 in Blonde, with a serial # slightly larger than the max in the commonly published lists for a '94.

Summary: This is the cleanest, most defect-free instrument I have ever purchased -- new or used. No smells, no dust, no nicks. Even the case is spotless. Truly a time-capsule. I has a lovely (to me) 1 5/8" nut, a very comfortable, straight neck, and it sounds fantastic.

This appears to have the mid-90's HB1s with the 4 leads, two of them orange, and red & black... Sounds great!

Enjoy!

Beautiful, congrats!! The X-160s are really fun and versatile guitars (I have an '89).

Congratulations on getting such a beautiful guitar. ‘90’s Guilds are as good as it gets. Enjoy!

Thanks all. I installed a tune-o-matic type bridge to hear the difference between the metal saddles and the wood. (I had a "footed" setup in my parts drawer from my '97 SF II days that fit nicely). The wood bridge and the Bisby is a odd pairing...
