Finally got to working on my X160 and when I pulled the strings off, found this under the bridge:

The good news is that the guitar looks and sounds fabulous after returning it to having HB1s:

krysh, GAD, just curious, but do you think that's what the holes were originally for (a piezo pickup)? Or, do you think a bridge was bolted on there? I was wondering why two holes would've been drilled.

Oh, and GAD, that's too bad about the holes, but yeah... at least the bridge covers them. You might want to consider plugging those, but I'm not sure it matters.

Man, those look really cleanly drilled. Since the Bigsby + wooden bridge seems an unlikely factory combo, do you think there's any chance this originally had a Muller bridge or some other bushing-mounted '80s T-o-M-alike?
