It struck me that we are a pretty small community - globally or nationally.

A small but fine group of people that care about their sound. (And, of course in my case, stage appearance & charisma.)

Even over on the bigger boards, it's just a few of us old geezers.

Complaint?

Nope. Rather, just a word of thanks to the rest of you who keep this interesting!

I still remember the day when the consensus on the board was that I should start wearing the potato in the front. Thanks guys!:smug:

Interesting community for sure.

Where else could you ask "Which Guild bass(es) should I buy today and expect to sell in five years for at least a 10% return on investment ?" and "Are those the same basses I would have fun playing if the investment returns were not achieved?"

:)

+1, particularly the "old geezer" comment!

Yes, this place is fantastic. A beautiful example of the good that can be achieved via the internet. Learning, humor, friendship, brainstorming, advice, premium veers... and all in the name of shared passion. Gives me hope for humankind!

It's an amazing forum, to be sure!! I figured I'd come here, ask my questions, get my information and be gone. That was 8.4 years ago and here I still am. The volume of information that I've learned here is phenomenal, and I know there's more to come. Yup, I agree. It's a very unique and wonderful group of people here and I'm grateful for them!! :encouragement:

I think we're just being grateful. No one is fishing for anything. :star:

Speak for yourself.
Some of us are obviously bass fishing.
And I favor "Sunshine of Your Love" for a hook and "the Fly" for bait.
